Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to score a 10 for competing in the Olympics. Bela Karolyi was later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci as she was only six years old. She competed at the Romanian Junior Championships where she placed 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. In her 1972 first international meet, which was a preolympics junior competition for countries in the Communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1975, she won named the all-around Junior Champion. In 1975, she won 4 gold and 1 silver medal in her debut senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. In 1976, she was the world's first woman to use a backwards-double salto to dismount from the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she was performing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol's career began in entertainment during her teenage year. Her career began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. They featured ice skating shows with theatrical shows.
