Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The kids were at the crib, and I was strapped in with a baby on my back. Ha! We were getting close to being done, yet we were a long distance away. This was going take money, effort, as well as my personal favorite to complete the interior of this house. To keep the budget in check, I started going to estate sales with my three brothers to search for diamonds in the rough. We would go from the week of Thursday through Saturday at estate sales and garage sales, buying old and new furniture. Then I painted and sanded in the driveway in the week. The furniture I found looked similar to... that's when my passion to restore furniture began. I continued to work on furniture, even after having decorated our house. There was a spot on the market in town in which I sold my items. I eventually had so many pieces I didn't think of a solution and my storage space was a mess. My home was where I would host open houses, where over 1000 guests could visit and buy any item they liked on the 1st floor within a single weekend. Growing Days was created in this home. The business I was running was growing however my family was growing too. I was finding that balance between what it took starting a new venture as well as a mother too. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. My daughter Nora became our fourth daughter. The direction my company was heading was great, but I had to take some time off. I opted to take a little breaks from my old furniture and slow down to stay at home with the kids. It was exactly the thing I needed. However, after just a couple of minutes, my phone began ringing. They wanted my help in interior decoration and home renovations. A majority of these were those who had walked through my property during open house for furniture! It wasn't long before I had a fully-fledged house renovation business. It began with taking clients with a speed I felt comfortable with. There is a good chance that I would have been laughing if someone had told me the business was going to be the premise of an upcoming television show on DIY Network. If I think back, it makes me laugh.
